The Sphinx is an enigmatic, winged monster from Greek mythology with the head of a woman and the body of a lion. The Sphinx is known for asking riddles to those it encounters, only to kill and devour those who answer incorrectly. The most famous riddle associated with the Sphinx is the following: What walks on four legs in the morning, two legs at noon, and three legs in the evening?
